Pet Problems

People who are planning on buying or adopting a cat should be aware of several things. First of all, depending on its breed, hair could be a problem. Second of all, your couch and armchairs could be in trouble. They love sharpening their claws on them. And lastly, you need to know that it needs to have a clean litter box, at all times.

After reading a lot about cats, online, and putting a lot of thought into it, I still decided to get one. I opted for a Birmanese kitten, who, although scared at first, got used to me and my girlfriend very quickly. She loved playing with it, and that gave it a lot of confidence and made it believe it could play with anything it wanted, and nothing was safe.

By nothing I absolutely mean nothing. That cat cat had absolutely scratched up my cds. All my CDs were scratched, and my couch was beggining to show signs of wear from the constant clawing. My little kitty always had to have its bowl filled with food or else it would get up on the kitchen table and try to eat what it could find. Milk with kitty hair in it just isn’t good, trust me.

One of the things my kitty ruined, and I felt most sorry about, was my iriver clix . I found it all chewed up and mangled, in a corner. My girlfriend thought it was really funny, but was one of the best mp3 players I’ve ever had. Since I was seriously considering giving the kitty away, she bought me a new one, to make sure I didn’t.

I now know better, and keep all my important things inside a locked desk. If something else is scratched, it’s my fault for leaving it outside. My kitty now has full reign of the house, and thinks everything is good for eating, scratching, or chewing. What a bothersome, but very sweet, pet!
